Probably the most delicious mobile OS ever will be Android 2.4 which is named Ice Cream. You have certainly been enjoying the witty nomenclature of Android OS which include a complete range of food verities like Donut, Eclair, Honeycomb, and Gingerbread etc. This kind of names can be mouthwatering if they come openly. Yeah, I am talking about the open-source Android OS. And the news is of a new entry and this time it is going to be Ice Cream.

There are no official words from Google about the release of Android 2.4. But still the rumor-mill is filled with lot of news about release date of Android 2.4. It is believed that the new OS will be launched in May this year. And this news feels tricky as there is no device announced which will have Android 2.4 and no clue about the announcement of any such device in the upcoming MWC.

According to Pocket Lint, a rumored website, Google will launch the OS in the I/O Conference of the company which is going to be held in May. The new OS is considered as a major update to the food-chain of Google which is already on a roll with massive success which come due to several high-tech devices from major smartphone manufacturers like Samsung, HTC and LG. Or it fact, Google’s Android caused the triumph for these devices.

According to some sources, the possibly upcoming Ice Cream is not the full name of the new Android 2.4. The full name will be Ice Cream Sandwich. Whatever the name will be, it is however clear now that something is in the pipeline and the eagerness are on its peak for it. Let us hope to have a delicious feast this time too or say as usual as Google is much used to giving good news to its users.
