No locks app might drain your battery PDF Print E-mail

I use my phone a lot and I took the decision to get rid of the locking system. From my point of view was a waste of time as long as my phone is near me all the time and no one will have access to it. I know..I can loose it, but anyway, the point is that I installed a "no lock" app. My power usage got higher and I've started to uninstall the apps which I suspect to drain battery, without any positive results.

When I uninstalled the "no lock" app my power consumption got low. For example:

-7 hours of "Flight mode" takes no battery (same percentage)

-1 hour with 2G on (and one mail sync) takes max 1%

-5 hours (2G:mail sync every hours, running three times app brain app sync, browsing through menu several times, wheater sync at three hours) takes 5%

These kinds of app will prevent your phone entering in the lowest power save state and will drain the battery. Be aware of this, and keep the classic lock mechanism :)
